I was traveling through area pulling U-Haul trailer. Suddenly truck had no drive. Tow Truck driver recommended Nationwide Transmissions so hauled us there. They got us into the shop quickly and figured out the Transfer case was not working. They took it apart, showed me what was wrong. I could see the metal pieces from the broken transfer case. They were able to find a new rebuilt one in another town and the next day sent an employee to get it and then put in on. It initially only partially worked and initially they said would have to find another one which would have to be ordered and would take several days. They knew we were on a deadline to arrive at our destination and kept working and diagnosing the problem. They were able to solve the problem that day. The next morning we picked up our truck and were on our way. As we had to stay in Flagstaff over night, they even had an employee, Allen thank you, take us to a motel and pick us up to get our truck. Adam, the service tech was very knowledgeable and helpful. He fully explained everything to us and the costs so there were no surprises except the pleasant one of them being able to diagnose and fix the problem with the new transfer case. Super professional & fast and they honestly helped us so much at a time when we were kinda screwed! They didn’t try to up the price because were traveling like the place around the corner!!! Literally 1/2 the price the guy quoted us for around the block and instead of 3 days waiting we were done in a a few hours!! God bless these men here. We recently had a water pump go out at 5 o'clock on a Saturday and with snow coming we decided to deal with it Sunday morning. Thanks to Felix the tow truck guy for recommending Nationwide Transmission. Expecting a long day and needing to be home with an 8.5 hour drive we started to look at rentals but Dale at Nationwide called with the estimate of being able to be on the road by noon we were very happy. As busy as they were on a Sunday morning we felt like we were VIP customer's They even recommended a nearby diner that was great. Unbelievable service - we broke down on our cross country trip at the Grand Canyon, then got towed to Nationwide Transmission in Flagstaff. We arrived shortly before closing and explained to Adam that we needed to get back on the road as soon as possible. He shuffled things around, found our parts, and got us back on the road the next morning by 10:30am. We couldn't have hoped for a better outcome after our car broke down. I had a pretty great experience here actually! The guys who worked here were nothing but helpful when a discontinued trailing arm broke on my Ford Escort. Even though they (and every shop in the surrounding area) couldn't find the part for sale, these guys created one and welded it onto my car. My girlfriend and I drove all the way home from Flagstaff to Michigan with no problems, so I'm very grateful they were progressive, helpful, and cheap. In addition, the owner sold me a new tire for really cheap. I recommend this place!
Blew a radiator and didn't knw what to do. I was out in middle of nowhere and these guys saved me. Honest and loyal, fast. They got my parts from Phoenix and pricing was honest. My wife and her friend were taking a trip to Taos, NM. On their way they experienced some care trouble about 30 miles out of Flagstaff. After waiting for AAA for 3.5 hours, on the fwy in well over 100 degree heat, they were finally towed into Flagstaff. After some time at the repair station they ended up staying at a nearby hotel overnight and allowed to repair station to look at it first thing in the morning. That morning the repair station diagnosed the issue and told the wifey it was a transmission and it would cost $4650. The phone call I got was tearful at best, she was balling actually! I asked her to calm down and let me search for a transmission shop nearby. That is when I found Nationwide Transmission, I called and spoke to Dale who offered to send his tow truck driver over to her and bring the car over to his shop to diagnose. (SIDEBAR: Tow truck driver has no room in the cab for 2 frantic woman so he has them sit in the car while he loads them on the flatbed and drives then to Nationwide. Kinda scary but they thought it was fun.) After looking over the van Dale comes back with estimate of $4995 except his was two decimal places to the left!!!
